Description
The sculpture made out of oak wood is meant to symbolize the path that we walk on, with its ups and downs, for the length of our lives. The material, which is specially chosen, being a part of nature, embodies the milieu in which the action unravels. From the day we are borne we begin our winding journey, striving for the peak as we intersect with different situations, being faced with different options, which encourage us to choose our own path, each choice coming with its specific set of consequences, bringing us closer to our goal or plunging us into difficult situations. Situations which take an extra bit of effort to get out of and on to our ascending path once more.
The four unequal parts of the work represent the different stages of life: childhood, adolescence, maturity and the age of wisdom. Adorned by this path, highlighted here with the help of gold leaf, we are reminded of our spirituality and our potential as the saying goes “man blesses the place”.
Entitled “Life’s game” the sculpture presents a beautiful and relaxing vision of our worldly lives, resembling a game which we star when we are borne and which we suddenly interrupt at the time of our passing into the unknown.
